The department is mandated to train and produce competent graduate mechanical engineers who will be able to accomplish the planning, design and fabrication of mechanical systems and infrastructure facilities. The first batch of students was admitted in 2002 to study BSc in Mechanical Engineering and Technology. The vision is to become a center of excellence in the area of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering with quality learning environment and research facilities.
